 Negril LighthouseThe Negril Lighthouse, a renowned landmark, still guides ships safely around Jamaica's western edge. It was built before the turn of the last century and has served the Jamaican people since 1895. It's located out the West End Road and just past Rick's Cafe. Early this century, the power source was converted from electric to solar energy. This lighthouse is great for a short getaway in Negril. The concrete tower is 20 m (66 ft) above the ground and the light is elevated 30 m (100 ft) above sea level. The lighthouse has an automatic white light which flashes every two seconds. |
 Seven Mile BeachFacing directly west, Negril's Seven-Mile Beach has been voted many times over as one of the best in the world. Tourists from around the various resort town make this apart of their must do while in the island.
